Content:

Understanding the role of a First-aider

Administering First Aid to an unconscious casualty

Administer CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)

Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Treat an adult or child casualty who is choking

Administer First Aid to someone who is wounded and bleeding

Administer First Aid to someone who is burnt

Administer First Aid to someone who is suffering an asthma attack

Recognise and treat anaphylactic shock

Use of Epipen and other adrenaline auto-injectors

When to call an ambulance

Heart Attack

First Aid Kits and equipment

Certificates awarded to successful candidates are valid for three years.
